The World Art Class and the Library Club worked together to create holiday cards for the deployed units of the Maryland National Guard stationed in the Middle East.  Cards were also requested for their families at home and especially the children.  The cards were taken to the Holiday Concert, on December 14th and were delivered by the Family Readiness Group Leaders. The cards were sent to the 1229th Transportation Unit, the 200th MP unit, and the 290th MP unit stationed in the Middle East.  The cards were filled out for the soldiers, their families and their children.

The criteria includes:  paperbacks, no religion, no romance, and children's books. Children's books can be hard cover books.

The Library Club is very appreciative for all those who can help with Operation Paperback! For more details contact msunday@thecatholichighschool.org.

The TCHS Nurse's Club is partnering with Tranquille Hair and Body Salon to raise money for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. They are offering students the opportunity to purchase a red hair extension at a cost of $10. Nurse's club members will be in the Dining Hall the week of Jan. 20th and 27th to sign up students. If you are interested in an extension please make sure to sign the list. They need to have 100 participants in order for the stylists to donate their time. They are also taking donations for the LLS.

On Monday, February 3rd, Tranquille stylists will be placing the extensions (which involves clamping the extension onto a stand of hair at the root). Extensions may be removed free of charge at the Tranquille Salon in Towson.

Your daughters will be sent home with a release form.

Thank you for helping support this cause!
